FarmVille Pic of the Day: A fire burns in ForeverFarmer's lighthouse cove

Ladies and gentlemen, the day has come! A FarmVille Lighthouse Cove farm has made it into the ranks of featured farms. This farm is special because not only is it a featured farm here on Games.com, but it also won farm of the week over at the FarmVille Forums. Two serious FarmVille achievements.

But let's take a look at what makes this farm so nice. Of course it has that Lighthouse Cove charm. That oceanfront Cape Cod type scenery with fall trees is always a nice start, but ForeverFarmer does a good job building upon it. Adding fences and buildings, ForeverFarmer really fleshed out and worked with what they were given. In particular, the stream of water flowing through the farm is so perfect, I almost didn't notice it was part of the design. In addition, the fall and Halloween elements are particularly excellent. The fire peach trees are really a sight to behold. So while this farm doesn't do anything abstract or bizarre, it is super solid and a masterpiece in its own right. Hopefully we'll see more FarmVille Lighthouse Cove designs in the weeks to come.

FarmVille Pic of the Day: Edrenee's farm has a little bit of everything

Previously this week, you folks had a couple complaints about Hemi 426's featured zoo farm. Though you agreed it was a huge FarmVille achievement, many of you folks thought it was just too cluttered and disorderly. In response, I present to you Edrenee's extremely organized farm.

While Edrenee's farm doesn't do anything incredibly artistic, you can't disagree that the orderly rows of crops and trees create a remarkable effect. It almost looks like a gardening enthusiast's back yard, with all kinds of crops neatly planted in rows. It's certainly a nice break from what we usually see: endless plantation-sized fields of the same crop. So even though it's not as creative as say, the dragon farm we featured a few weeks ago, it is a very nice FarmVille design that is certainly unique in its own right.

Finally, make sure you realize just how difficult it would be to coordinate all the crop grow times to take this photo. Very impressive Edrenee.
